After the success of the Biblia Sacra, Dalí continued to work on other projects of books illustrations. Since 1964 Dalí had an ambition to illustrate “One Thousand and One Nights”, and circumstances eventually aligned to make this possible. As part of the illustration contract with Giuseppe Albaretto, Dalí created a series of works inspired by Arabian themes that are among the most imaginative, colorful, and rich expressive works Dali ever made.
