An exceptional antique art nouveau Royal Copenhagen bat sculpture bowl depicting designed by Erik Nielsen and decorated by Oluf Jensen. Bottom incised signed, underglaze “EN” (Erik Nielsen) and signed OJ (Oluf Jensen). Polychrome underglaze painting in subtle gray tones. Underside with wave mark in gray as well as number 8 and various symbols.

Given that this piece was signed by Oluf Jensen, it is likely to be one of the first pieces manufactured and it is of extraordinary high quality.

Very early molding, an impressive state of preservation, no damage or restoration. 1st quality.
