The glass artist Jack Ink was born in 1944 in Canton, Ohio, United States. Jack Ink studied among others at the University of Wisconsin, where he became an assistant to Harvey Littleton and Eric Rudans. In his art, he creates mainly glass paintings, the main themes being landscapes and the sea. For many years Jack Ink was working with famous Austrian glass manufacturer Lobmeyr.

Jack Ink has always been fascinated by the sea, the underwater world, coral reefs, and the colorful marine life. The whole series like the ‘jellyfish’, the ‘seascapes’ or ‘shells’ were produced since the 1970s.
